The Configuration Specialist: Functions as the custodian of application configuration and associated definition documents. Facilitates and manages changes to the configuration. Proactively notifies management of requirement gaps, requirement changes, variances in project schedules and budgets or other project performance issues, with recommended appropriate solutions. Participates in test plan development, performing tests, reviewing results, and logging defects. Ensures that test requirements are met. Provides advice and consultation to help clients adopt best practices for application configuration Demonstrates excellent communication and presentation skills.This position requires at a minimum 18 months hands on experience implementing Facets. Candidate must have demonstrable configuration skills in one or more of the following functional areas: enrollment, provider reimbursement, provider set up, member service, provider service, claims processing, benefits set up, billing or accounts receivable. A BA/BS Degree, advanced degree, and/or relevant certifications are beneficial. Team management a plus. Knowledge of data base structure and ability to query tables to audit and validate configuration is highly desirable. The position requires full functional knowledge of the Facets systems required to maintain production state of business process configuration, customizations, and processes. Knowledge of the supporting data structures, with the ability to query tables as part of the configuration validation and auditing process is highly desirable. Consultants will participate in the design, build, and test tasks needed to upgrade and enhance the business process configurations and customizations. They will also partner with existing application specialists and change management specialists to create and maintain training manuals and system configuration guides.Essential Job Functions Business: Support business design activities related to application software, data, and packaged solutions. Business: Analyze requirements and develop high-level and detailed business process designs to the Elementary Business Process (EBP) level and Derived Logical Process (DLP) level. Business: Coordinate acceptance testing and create high complexity test scripts for the business area that contain multiple cases and cycles. Methodology: Contribute to applying the Catalyst framework, in the role played, to determine the methodological steps that are appropriate for an engagement. Management: Lead a team of 3-5 CSC resources, in your area of expertise, to successful conclusion of a project phase. Technical: Design and review designs for the user system interface (USI) for the business application. Relationship Management: Establish credibility at all levels within the client and build problem-solving partnerships with the client and colleagues. Leverage: Understand the sales process, its information and support requirements, and assist business developers in identifying or qualifying leads.
