Field Service Engineer IV

JOB SUMMARYThis position will be involved in Ericsson’s delivery of technical solutions in the form of proactive and/or corrective system maintenance, 24x7 operations, and field/emergency handling services.  Under the supervision of the Network Support Group Manager, the Field Service Engineer will provide customer support services according to established Ericsson processes.JOB DESCRIPTION This position will be part of first line support, participate in emergency recovery of live network, CSR and trouble ticket handling for both local and global customers.  Also responsible for adhering to Support Process.  This position will work with all levels of the organization including both Second Level and the Design Support Team.   JOB REQUIREMENTS·  Extensive working knowledge and understanding in following technology areas or platforms: Wireline (Local and Transgate Switches), IP & Soft Switching (Layer 2 & Layer 3).·  Familiarization with protocols such as SIP, TCP/IP, H248, H323 and CCNA & CCIE certification. ·  Candidates with Entrisphere GPON solution technology experience highly preferred.·  Wireline experience with SONET, ATM, DSL and POTS. ·  Capable of developing technical documents and papers. ·  Capable of performing project coordination activities. ·  Ability to develop and make presentations to various groups and customers.   For consideration, qualified candidates should apply for this position by visiting www.ericssonusjobs.com and reference requisition number DD12178.
