Financial Analyst

Assist Finance Director in coordination of business plan activities including development and refinement of planning software models, consolidating division operating and capital budgets, developing and maintaining Excel reports used for executive decision making.Specific duties include helping Director with the following:Forecasting remaining months in 2007 Variance analysis - forecast vs. prior plan vs. proposed plan Financial model building - Networks forecast volume info and Cognos model produces $ forecast based build in assumptions and rates Ad hoc financial analysis needed for each department head to construct a meaningful plan Help staff with navigation of Cognos budgeting tool - training users on Cognos, contact for Cognos related issues, QC of modelsVerification of budget data input and resultsLoading plan data into SAP and reconciliation Calendarization preparationReview and analyze departmental budgets with Budget Mangers, Director and VPsTop level financial decks for senior management presentationsRate card vs. Allocation - analysis in changing accounting processAd hoc requests, analysis, and other researchEDUCATION:A Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or Finance, or related field is preferred.EXPERIENCE:Three - five years experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a TV production environment.SKILLS:SAP and Cognos experience, a plusStrong working knowledge of ExcelCandidate must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Candidate must be detail-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.Candidate must have excellent written & verbal communication skills.
