Job Category:Accountant Professional Primary Location:USA-VA: VIRGINIA-FALLS CHURCHSchedule:Full-time Job Type:Regular Employee Status:Regular Yes, 25 % of the Time Job Posting: 04/24/2008Description: CSC's Corporate Planning and Analysis Department in Falls Church, VA is searching for a Financial Analyst - Planning and Analysis as a result of CSC's Corporate Office relocation from El Segundo, CA to Falls Church, VA!The Financial Analyst assists in developing, interpreting and implementing financial and accounting concepts including budgeting, trending, forecasting, financial modeling and provides financial analysis support.Ref4449Essential Job Functions Provides financial analysis support as part of Financial Planning and Analysis department, including analysis and reporting of results Supports company-wide budget and mid-year forecast process Provides support to Hyperion Enterprise consolidation tool administrator Comprehends large amounts of financial information and summarizes for/presents to management Supports the development of materials for the quarterly presentation and reporting of financialresults Understands and analyzes key financial metrics such as Return on Investment, etc. Implements and maintains reports using a variety of tools Participates in special projects to support Corporate management and business units Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred Two or more years of accounting or finance experience or related work experience Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software Exposure to finance and accounting concepts Skill with personal computers including Microsoft products Aptitude for financial applications such as Hyperion Enterprise and SAP Financial modeling experience Exposure to budgeting and forecasting concepts Other Qualifications Personal computer and business solutions software skills Good interpersonal skills Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management Good analytical and problem solving skills Planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work Leadership skills to provide assistance to less experienced personnel Ability to work independently with a minimal amount of supervision and as part of a team Strong learner, problem solver, comfortable interacting with a variety of levels within CSC, project a professional image, willing to perform a variety of types of assignments, and willing to do what is required to complete tasks, including overtime as needed Ability to operate in a fast-faced, dynamic environment Must be willing to travel during the period of knowledge transfer from El Segundo, CA to Falls Church, VARemote Work Location Authorized:No Relocation Assistance:Not AvailableClearance Level:None Create Success
