Financial Systems Analyst
SUMMARY: Serve as Project Leader, collaborate with Department Heads and end-users to determine needs and develop financial solutions globally. Develop financial system’s functional support, ensuring that systems functionality effectively responds to users’ business needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ As Project Leader, attend meetings with business groups (Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, HR, etc.) in order to determine needs, discuss problems, present solutions, and create schedules for deliverables; manage projects from inception through to completion to ensure development of effective solutions are completed and delivered according to projected, negotiated, or required timeframes.
§ As Functional Analyst, draw upon comprehensive system knowledge to enhance and/or modify the Company’s financial system’s functional features for a variety of modules, including but not limited to G/L, A/P, Credit and Collections, Chargebacks, cash management, financial close, budgeting and forecasting cycles. etc.; ensure system’s functionality is responsive to users’ business needs.
§ Configure system and design processes to achieve desired business results: establish set-ups, define business rules, create and discuss system configuration designs with end-users and/or requestors, secure approvals from Department Heads, ensure software development cycle is complied with to ensure proper controls and documentation, and apply configurations to system.
§ Partner with Directors, Data Quality Control staff and Compliance to ensure system configurations reflect specified data quality controls.
§ Provide expert production support after Director, Financial Systems has escalated a non-routine problem received by Help Desk operations.
§ Develop and deliver a variety of scheduled (online) and ad hoc (in person) system training to end-users.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting and 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible financial systems analysis, including some consulting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

§ Ability to work calmly and flexibly under pressure.
§ Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
§ Strong listening skills to facilitate comprehension of end-users’ requirements and/or problems.
§ Ability to persuade and negotiate others on optimal systems configurations.
§ Deep knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, G/L, A/P, A/R, fixed assets, etc..
§ Ability to lead and motivate project teams.
