GIS Oracle Database Developer / GIS Mobile & GIS Desktop Developer / Geographic Information Systems

MERIDIAN Technology Group is currently seeking several GIS Developers with broad knowledge and experience in all aspects of GIS design and application development.  Solid 'current' industry-standard development procedures and best practices along with past experience developing GIS solutions for large clients are key to these roles.


GIS Mobile Developer RS6464 RS6464 Oregon-Portland metro area MERIDIAN Technology Group is seeking a GIS Mobile Developer RS6464 with strong technical experience in application development and source code management. Must have experience with ESRI's ArcPad customizations, GIS file-based data formats, mobile device data management and mobiledesktop data integration. Experience with Oracle, ArcSDE, Image manipulation and ArcObjects a plus. Additional skills in Java/web development, ArcIMS, or GeoCortex-IMF software nice to have.

You will perform desktop/mobile development using ESRI's ArcPad Application Builder (version 7.1, converting from a 7.0.1 in-house application) and general desktop (and Windows Mobile Device integration) development using VB.NET 2005. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with ability to work well within a development team.


GIS Oracle Database Developer RS6463 RS6463 Oregon-Portland metro area MERIDIAN Technology Group is seeking a GIS Oracle Database Developer RS6463 with strong technical database application scripting/development and source code management experience. Must have experience with ArcSDE, Oracle, scripting languages, UNIX and Windows. Experience with complex geodatabase objects and Safe Software Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) strongly desired. Experience with geometric networks, image manipulation and electrical utility data a plus. Additional skills in ArcObjects development, VB.NET 2005, ArcPad development, Java/web development, ArcIMS, or GeoCortex-IMF software nice to have.

You will perform GIS data server development, data migration and ongoing maintenance. Software to be used includes (but is not limited to) ESRI's ArcSDE 9.2 utilities (including a migration from 8.3,) Oracle 10gR2 (including a migration from 9i,) Oracle utilities (SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, PLSQL, etc.) and general scripting languages (Bourne Shell, Perl.). Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and ability to work within a development team.


GIS Desktop Developer RS6461 RS6461 Oregon-Portland metro area MERIDIAN Technology Group is seeking a GIS Desktop Developer RS6461 with strong technical experience in application development and source code management. Must have experience with ArcSDE, Oracle, VB.NET and ArcMap customizations with ArcObjects. Experience with geometric networks or electrical utility data desired. Experience with ABB CADOPS or ABB FeederAll a plus. Skills in ArcPad development, Java/web development, ArcIMS, Oracle, or GeoCortex-IMF software nice-to-have.

You will perform desktop development using ESRI's ArcGIS 9.2 Desktop's ArcMap application. Software to be used includes (but is not limited to) VB.NET 2005 using standard Framework libraries, ArcObjects and Oracle.NET. A variety of file-based data formats will be likely included in the development including XML (configuration,) File Geodatabases or Shapefiles, MS-Access, etc. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a development team.
