Sales/Retail/Business Development Education Level:   Bachelor's Degree Reference Code:   PCK314-9724 Global Account Executive Job ID: 109392Overview:As part of the Global Account Team, the Global Account Executive is responsible for managing global relationships with some of Dow Jones’s (EMG’s) largest customers including multi-national corporations, major financial institutions and top accounting/consulting firms. The Global Account Executive is chartered with maintaining the existing revenue which requires implementing programs and building relationships globally to insure that the customers are satisfied with the value they are receiving. This collaborative working relationship will lead the Global Account Executive to identify new opportunities for additional Dow Jones solutions.Position Description: Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:• Manage the overall global relationship with EMG’s largest customers to protect existing revenues and identify new revenue generating initiatives.• Develop accounts plans for each customer and establish the overall account strategies and tactics to ensure retention. This involves both long and short term planning and requires regular and ongoing updating.• Conduct regular executive briefings with customers in order to keep them current, exchange ideas and ultimately to identify growth opportunities.• Partner with the customer to gain access to higher levels in the organization• Develop tailored solutions and strategies that shape customer expectations, buying process, or RFPs to create a competitive advantage.• Generate new users within customer base to increase use of Dow Jones services.Key Relationships Internally and Externally:• Build strong relationships with customers to develop multiple customer relationships at all levels globally and build trust and confidence with users, key contacts, managers and C-level executives to retain and expand business opportunities.• Organize and coordinate the efforts of immediate team members as well as those of any other global internal resources necessary to achieve sales goals. These can include individuals from: Client Solutions, Product Development, Product Marketing, Regional Marketing, Customer Service, Content Group, Sales Operations and Finance.***Position can be based in our NYC or Princeton office.***Position Requirements:Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:• Seven years experience selling information services and/or related high value technology products and services.• Five years experience managing multi-national Fortune 500 companies and large Financial Institutions.• Good understanding of major market data platforms, internet/intranet applications and emerging web technologies.• High level of initiative and self motivation, with the ability to work in a team environment.• Ability to prioritize account penetration/management activities to optimize sales productivity.• Ability to identify multi-faceted integrated solutions to meet customer needs.• Ability to cultivate, maintain and deploy network of customer contacts to promote sales objectives.• Ability to build and develop collaborative customer relationships to identify issues, assess needs and solve problems.• Degree Level Education.• This role requires national and global travel for up to 10% of the time..Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 30%
