10441351Global Director of IT - InfrastructureDirect HireForest Grove, ORPOSITION SUMMARY:This key position will have responsibility for all global infrastructure including: data centers, help desk and desktop support,disaster recovery, application support, database administration, telecommunications, hardware/software procurement and direct supervision of IT staff.TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities include supervising and providing effective leadership for entire IT staff; Accountability for the installation, configuration, maintenance for all IT-related systems; Preparing and presenting recommendations and cost benefit analysis on IT projects; Maintaining and enhancing guidelines for software and hardware procurement and implementation; Establishing maintenance and service level agreement contracts for all critical or high availability equipment and services;Managing business continuity and disaster recovery policies; Maintaining documentation of IT infrastructure; Will lead the operational, maintenance and administrative staffs in meeting annual and quarterly goals. Will establish key SLAs and measure and improve service performance metrics. Will evaluate and recommend infrastructure solutions to best meet the business needs of the company. Will develop processes that are innovative without being stifling. Will assure that the highest and most appropriate security measures are in place. Develop and maintain relationships with client organizations to ensure their infrastructure expectations are being met and priorities are set at the appropriate level. Develop and manage own budget and complete major projects within approved budget. Collaborate with Applications and Web teams to provide High Availability, scalable business solutions. Delivers technical direction and solutions consistent with the overall IT strategy and direction. This position will have three Sr managers as direct reports.REQUIRED QUALIFIICATIONS:Bachelors Degree with relevant work experienceFifteen plus years experience in information technology, with at least seven to ten years of management experience leading and managing an infrastructure group in a technology company.The successful candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure technologies in a global corporation which has scaled.Successful career progression in complex organizations (multiple data centers, networks, applications), and multiple engineering groups.The Director of Global Infrastructure will have led an international IT organization managing mission critical IT projects on a worldwide basis.The ideal candidate will have worked for global company with a manufacturing background and will have a track record of handling rapid growth.Will have had experience working with sales and service groups and will have a strong understanding of their infrastructure needs and how they operate.Background must include complex contract negotiations, vendor management, and capacity planning in a fast growth environment.Will have a strong background with compliance (Sox 404) and in the network security area.Broad current knowledge of business technology applications, and current trends in IT.Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of writing purchase justifications, training users in complex topics, making presentations to an internal audience, and interacting positively with upper management.Independent problem-solving, self-direction.Ability to perform most aspects of system and network administration; for example, configuration of mail systems, system installation and configuration, fundamentals of security, installing third-party software.A solid understanding of Windows and UNIX-based operating systems.Experience in Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange 2007, and Salesforce.com a plus.Must be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel and management in an environment with multiple work demands and short time frames.Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Must be able to work in a team environment and produce results in conjunction with fellow team members.Ability to create a detailed training program for IT certification is requiredMCP or MCSP is requestedPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:A process-oriented individual, with strong project management skills,who has the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured, dynamic organization.
