Graduate Trainee - Quality Assurance

Overall Purpose

 

TheTradingScreen platform links buy and sell sides together to facilitate orderrouting, execution management, clearing and additional services such as STP andPrime Brokerage enabling across all asset classes.

 

The Job holder will work closely with theDevelopment, Technical Support, Business and Project Management teams to delivera product of quality.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

 

·Software specification analysis.

·Testing and validating software.

·Investigating, and diagnosing software problems

·Producing test plans and test scripts forsoftware version release

·Introducing automated testing tools andprocedures where appropriate

·Creation of test data

·Documenting software and hardware testingperformed

·Working with sales and development to helppriorities new development and ensure that products are released to fixed timescales

·Ad hoc product support.

 

Experience andQualifications

 

 

Required

 Good team player.Strong analytical skills to solve problems.Logical, methodical and a keen eye to detail.Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing to users and team members.Strong motivation towards QA and support.Basic understanding of UNIX and/or Windows XPGood understanding of standard MS suite of products

 

 

Desired

 

· Understanding of/ experience ofinstitutional investment process.

· Knowledge of Java and softwaredevelopment cycle.

· Basic understanding ofQA processes.
