HELP DESK TECHNICIAN
ABOUT US: Metro Door, Inc. in Great River, New York, is one of the nation's leading manufacturers of security enclosures and a major provider of incident related repair services nationwide. Our customers include Fortune 100 retailers and major nationwide chains. We are looking for a Help Desk professional to work in a dynamic environment for a growing manufacturing company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide support for sofware and hardware support for in-house and remote users.
2. Windows account administation (adds, moves, changes).
3. Technical contact for proprietary applications supported by the Support Center.
4. Work with our Help Desk System to troubleshoot issues.
5. Escalate issues to proper IT staff member, when necessary.
6. Assist with IT projects, as required.
7. Actively participate in the development an implementation of the Knowledge Base.
8. Trouble shoot issues with printer, faxes and scanners.
9. Provide after-hours and on-call support, when necessary.
10. Work on special projects, when necessary.
EDUCATION:
2-3 Years experience in a Help Desk setting.
Helpdesk Professional and Microsoft Certification, a plus.
Unix/Linux Knowledge, a plus.
VOIP Knowledge, a plus.
SAP Business One Knowledge, a plus.
SQL Database experience, a plus.
Lotus Notes Knowledge, a plus.
Treos Knowledge, a plus.
HP Printer Knowledge, a plus
Recent college grads are strongly encouraged to apply.
