Help Desk Engineer Level II/III

For both Akron and Cleveland locations we are seeking a responsible, qualified and self-motivated individual to join our organization. This position offers ongoing training and certification opportunities plus the knowledge gained by working within multiple environments on a variety of softwares.

Position Summary Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software problems Analyze, configure, troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN system issues Troubleshoot complex server hardware and software problems Continual learn and develop technology trends to anticipate internal and client needs along with planning appropriate solutions and recommendations  Install and configure workstations General day-to-day break fix and maintenance on both the desktop and servers Field calls, log ticket information, pursue problem resolution and / or escalate problem Triage and prioritize calls and issues Document all support calls, follow up with end-users to closure Proactive monitoring and testing of systems to avoid potential issues 

 

Skills Required MCA or equivalent Cisco Router & Firewall knowledge is a definite plus LAN interconnection with routers, CSU/DSU and leased lines  Excellent interpersonal communication skills  Ability to learn new processes and technology quickly Ability to stay organized in a fast paced, high-demand environment Excellent customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communications skills Knowledge on installation and configuration of current operating systems Knowledge of Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/2008, Exchange(55-2007), MS Office, Outlook, Anti-Virus & network backup programs, TCP/IP networking protocol, DHCP, DNS, HTTP and Active Directory Familiarity or knowledge of remote control agents Knowledge of diagnostic techniques used to troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems Ability to solve software and hardware issues on various manufacturer's PC's and devices Ability to work independently and in team environment Strong desire and ability to learn Three to five years of experience in end-user business network support Must be able to research a variety of sources to either resolve issues, or recommend alternative solutions.
