Help Desk Specialist Tier 1 and 2 - Consultant 4

Provide liaison between USMS ITS and users. Analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve information technology problems for end users. Install and configure approved software for end users. Maintain accurate information within the help desk Remedy system. MUST be U.S. Citizen. MUST be able to pass a background investigation for a U.S. Marshals Public Trust. MUST have a clear credit record going back 7 years and no history of bankruptcy. Candidates do not need an active security clearance, but candidate must have an adjudicated record in JPAS. In this case, a waiver can be granted for the candidate to start work while their background investigation is underway. The waiver is granted ONLY after all paperwork has been submitted and forwarded to OPM and an Investigation File Number has been issued by OPM. This could take up to 3-4 weeks. Help Desk experience is required. BS in Computer Science preferred. With four years general experience of which two years is specialized in computer systems administration, a degree is not required.
