Help Desk Support Specialist

The Rothman Institute of Philadelphia is a world class multi specialty medical practice within the Orthopaedic field.  Rothman Institute has both surgical and non-surgical physicians on staff and has 8 locations through out Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  We currently have an opening for an experienced Helpdesk Support Specialist.

 

The ideal candidate will complete varying tasks such as creating new users, shares, install computers, software, printers, and perform assigned system administrative tasks.  Have advance skills in Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point 2000/XP/2003 and Adobe Acrobat.  Provide 1st and 2nd level help desk support over telephone or in person.  Ability to log and track helpdesk related tasks in database.  PC break fix experience with HP Compaq and Dell computers. 

 

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently or with other Information Technology Staff members. Have a proven track record of superior customer service skills.  This is a highly visible position within the Rothman Institute and those that can produce will be rewarded.

 

 

Requirements

1+ Years desktop/laptop/PDA support experience in medical environment.
Experience supporting Windows 2000/XP

Technical certification i.e. MCSE, MCP, or A+
Superior customer service skills
Ability to work independently and part of a team
Documentation skills a must

Provide 1st and 2nd level support for helpdesk service requests.

Open Trouble Tickets with vendors

Able to lift and install equipment weighing 25 lbs or more.

Spend long periods of time on telephone assisting users.

 

Automobile required and must travel to satellite offices in PA and NJ when required.
