Helpdesk-Workstation Specialist

This position requires 11:00am-8:00pm shift.

Primary Function

·  Provides technical assistance to computer system users.

·  Answers questions or resolves problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location.

·  Provides assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

· Must work the  Helpdesk (approx 4 hours/day)

Minimum Education & Experience

·  2 year degree or currently pursuing 4 year degree.

·  1 year experience in related field.

·  Industry internship or previous exposure to a technical environment desired (programming, quality assurance, or HPS business).

·  Problems are already well defined. 

·  Observations, records, or other data are available and point toward the problem.

·  Limited judgment is required.

·  Specific instructions are available to perform routine, highly repetitive work.

·  Accountable for own work only. 

·  Supervision required.

·  Tasks which are generally informational, for others to use in their actions or decision-making. 

·  Errors, if undetected by succeeding operations, would have negligible effect.

Job Knowledge

·  Requires understanding and ability to apply basic employment skills. 

·  Activities limited in scope and complexity with minimal knowledge of other operations beyond the immediate task or operation. 

·  Acceptable job performance normally attained in a 6 month-1 year period.

Computer Operations

·  Working knowledge of PC automation products (I.e.word processing, spreadsheet, database)
