High-Touch, High-Tech Company Seeks Experienced SOA Program Manager

We have an immediate position available for a contract in Virginia.  As the project manager, you would oversee the entire assignment from its implementation to its conclusion. A commitment to maintaining excellent customer service is expected. In addition, you will have a vital role in the corporate management of the company, supporting the executive team and advising our Board of Management with first class strategic advice.

 

The position requires experience managing from 5 to 10 personnel, and a minimum of 5 years experience in software architecture and software development support services.  The ideal candidate will have development and management experience in the Service Oriented Architecture field.  All candidates should have full-life cycle experience in software development. 

As the contract manager, you will serve as the contractor's liaison to the Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) management personnel and customer agency representatives. In addition, you will formulate and enforce work discrepancies, supervise contractor personnel and communicate policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates while motivating team members.  You are accountable for the overall performance of the contract and will not serve in any other capacity. You will also supervise, train, and direct support staff.

 

A Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline is preferred.  A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline might be considered equivalent to one year of specialized experience and two years of general experience. A PhD with an area of concentration in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, and Math, Physics or other related scientific or technical discipline may be considered equivalent to two years of specialized experience and three years of general experience.
