Exeter Group, Inc., headquartered in Cambridge, MA with additional offices in Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY, is an information technology consulting firm specializing in information strategy, planning, software implementation and integration, and custom application development.  The company is  looking for  consultants who will be involved in the functional analysis, system design, project management and delivery of enterprise-wide systems within Higher Education organizations.  

 

We are looking for individuals with hands-on experience implementing ERP/Administrative Systems solutions including Student Systems, HRMS, Financials, and Financial Aid systems .  The ideal candidate must have solid expertise in a at least one functional aspect of higher education and the ability to learn new systems and areas quickly.  The candidate will be required to provide the functional direction and leadership necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.  This includes conducting business process analysis, leading requirement gathering sessions, assisting with system configuration decision, training users, working closely with the technical team and acting as a trusted advisor to the client

ResponsibilitiesWork directly with clients on ERP implementation projects as the technical lead/architect.Assess current state of client’s business and map future state.Gather and analyze functional requirements and objectives, perform fit/gap analysis, and provide recommendations.Develop functional specifications based on client needs and business processes.  Provide practical knowledge of system configuration decisions and the implications of each approach.Work closely with technical leads in order to deliver the optimal solution for the clientData mapping, data analysis and data migration tasks as necessary.  Candidate should be able to create fundamental SQL queries.Work in conjunction with team members for training of client’s functional staff.Assist the Training Coordinator with end user training and documentation.

Qualifications

 Candidate must possess MBA, MS.4+ years of experience in the Higher Education arena working in Business Affairs, Student Services, Registration, Admissions, Enrollment, Academic Records, Student Records, Student Billing, or Financial Aid; or Minimum of 2 years field experience working with external clients in a consulting capacity or implementing internal ERP/Administrative Systems solutions for a large firm.Proactive, quality-oriented, with demonstrated leadership and team-building skillsKnowledge of process analysis and gathering functional requirements.Excellent communication, presentation, planning and organizational skillsExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsMust have experiences with SCT Banner v7.x or above, PeopleSoft Student Systems, DARS, PowerFaids, Oracle Student SystemsHeavy travel required
