IBM Storage Specialist

  POSITION SUMMARY Provide post-sales technical implementation assistance and pre-sales technical subject matter expertise to our sales team in support of closing business in both new and existing accounts particularly surrounding IBM SAN and Storage. POSITION KNOWLEDGE  § Ability to work independently and collaborate as a team member with minimal supervision § Strong communication skills and proficient writing skills for proposal and deliverable documentation § Ability to craft solutions based on technology offered from our vendor partners and articulate the value/appropriateness to our clients in their IT environment.§Certifications are a plus, specifically related to IBM SAN and Storage Product line. POSITION SKILLSDevelop and maintain subject matter expertise and any required certification on the following technology platforms, as designated by the Service Manager:    · IBM DS8000, DS6800, DS4000 Disk product lines · IBM Replication experience a plus · IBM Tape product line, including encryption · IBM SVC Virtualization Solution · TSM Backup ad D/R Solutions a plus · AIX/HPUX/Solaris/Linux OS expertise a plus      Type of Experience:Senior Consultant with 5 to 10 years of experience in IBM Storage Administration.
