We are seeking an IIS Web Engineer!

 

Summary:

Support and enhance web server Technology Solutions based on platforms from Microsoft, f5 Networks, HP, VMWare, and others.

Ensure high availability of 24X7 production systems.

Support the deployment of web applications from development to production deployment. Maintain all down-level environments, including Dev, Test, QA and Project.

Provide on-site consulting services to the enterprise, including support for short- and long-term projects.

Design server infrastructure solutions, including monitoring and alerting of server and system issues. Analyze and resolve complex client/server issues.

Primary Job Functions:

Act as part of a team of engineers in support of the computer and network systems. Participate in project teams consisting of inter- or intra-departmental employees in accomplishing daily tasks & long-term projects.

Administer Microsoft Windows Server-based client/server technology solutions.

General Firewall familiarity and security principles.

Actively seek out opportunities to improve existing practices, procedures, and technology implementations.

Employ knowledge of OS-level and Hardware-level architecture to derive solutions and remediation’s for observed issues.

Ensure 24X7 uptime for production systems.

Represent IT and engage IT partners and vendors to create and implement solutions to business problems.

Required Qualifications:

6+ years experience in a technical support position in a client/server environment

Experience with Windows 2000 & 2003 Server

Hands-on experience managing web sites running on Microsoft IIS, SharePoint Services, Active Directory and Group Policy

On-Call support of production systems in a 24X7 eCommerce environment

Familiarity with Server Load Balancing technologies such as f5 BigIP

Experience with remote deployment and monitoring technologies

Experience with Exchange Server, SMTP, and Sendmail products

Server Hardware knowledge, including SANs and Blade server technologies

Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP

Ability to work independently in all phases of systems analysis activities

Experience with server virtualization and consolidation technologies

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Experience with web development lifecycle support

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in performance testing of distributed applications

Relational Database Management Systems, such as MS SQL Server experience Working knowledge of non-Microsoft operating systems, such as Unix/Linux

Experience with security organizations to conduct penetration testing and vulnerability scanning

Scripting skills (VBScript, Perl, etc)

Experience with DNS

Experience with Disaster Recovery planning and Security Audit compliance
