Located in Modesto, Memorial Medical Center opened on May 1, 1970. Licensed for 313 acute care beds, the facility is part of Memorial Hospitals Association, a not-for-profit organization that exists to maintain and improve the health status of citizens in greater Stanislaus County. Memorial affiliated with Sutter Health in 1996 and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.Serving the greater Stanislaus County with 423 plus acute care beds, Memorial Medical Center provides a full continuum of care including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, nuclear medicine, dialysis therapy, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, physical therapy, skilled nursing services and home health. Specialized care includes Memorial Regional Cancer Center, Memorial Heart Institute and Medi-Flight of Northern California. The Information Services Director for the Central Valley Region is responsible for the oversight, management, and coordination of daily activities related to the functionality of Customer Support, Infrastructure, and Applications that support the day to day operations of the Region’s Ambulatory care facilities. The scope of this position encompasses all Client Services representation between the affiliate and Information Services. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the IS related activities for Sutter Gould Medical Foundation and those satellite clinics spanning Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced counties. The central valley region is comprised of three acute care facilities, a medical foundation with approximately 25 satellite clinics, and a visiting nurses association. These sites span across the San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced and Tuolumne counties within a 90 mile radius. Support of all Sutter affiliates and community physicians encompasses approximately 7,000 end users utilizing approximately 2500 desktop devices. All activity documented by this position is formally developed into research analysis, business proposals, and project charters. The scope of this position encompasses the functional and operational needs of the care provider when utilizing both software and hardware to assist and administer patient care. This position has direct responsibility for Supervisory Staff and the manner in which they conduct their work. Management of these resources includes the ability to hire, develop, motivate and discipline staff. This position also acts as a consultative resource to senior management for major systems related projects, which include upgrades, conversions, implementations and enterprise system, decommissions. This position participates in meetings with affiliate leadership as part of the affiliate leadership team, not as an invited guest. This position collaborates and plans Customer Support related activities/projects with the regional IS leadership team including: CIO, Affiliate Directors, Infrastructure, and Applications or their designees Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Healthcare or related Health Professional field. Three (3) years managerial experience. Two (2) years supervisory experience. Three (3) years work experience in a health related organization’s Information Services department. One (1) year experience in a team or project leader position. Demonstrated resourcefulness, initiative and analytical abilities. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to organize and offer presentations in either written or verbal formats. Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job. Must be able to travel in and out of Stanislaus County including transcontinental travel. Must possess a valid California drivers license and upon request proof of liability insurance. Must demonstrate excellent written/verbal interpersonal communication/problem solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Previous management experience in the healthcare industry. Current patient care based licensure. This preferred qualification can be met with proof of a current active license of Registered Nurse, Pharmacist, Physician, or Physician’s Assistant. Masters degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or Computer Science. Demonstrated experience using MS Project, Visio and MS Office (specifically Word, Excel and Power Point)
