Position Description:

Sunquest Information Systems, Inc., is a market leader in clinical data management with more than 1,200 U.S. hospitals and commercial laboratories, and over 60 customers in Canada, UK, Western Europe, and the Middle-East. The company designs, develops, and supports a comprehensive suite of information products for hospitals and laboratories that include laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy systems. Sunquest uses open systems that are scalable to any size hospital or healthcare network.This position will act as a team leader and as a resource within and across departments, and regularly provide guidance and direction to less experienced specialists. In addition the Lead will be a working member of the team addressing and managing the resolution of more complex desktop support issues for Sunquest employees. • Act as a team lead and achieve high standards of professional excellence.• Responds to and resolves issues complex reported by Sunquest employees on IS supported products; • Utilizes the ticket system to document results of problem resolution sessions;• May participate in deployment projects with other IS teams;• May perform user administration on servers.• Responsible for system preparation, including Operation System or software installations and user configurations, for new and rebuilt systems for employees.• Performs software installs, minor hardware repairs/maintenance and assists with moving employees' desktop equipment. • Responsible for maintaining relevant equipment information in asset database. • Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Science, Computer Science or equivalent.• Five or more years supporting Windows environments or Sunquest applications.• Strong knowledge of current Microsoft operating systems and Office applications.• Understanding of software installation processes.• Ability to participate in emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule.• Basic understanding of PC hardware maintenance and networking a plus.
