Currently, we are seeking an IS SUPPORT SPECIALIST for our Dallas, TX facility.
This position is responsible for the delivery of efficient and integrated user services for Aviall employees and Aviall web based users. Support Specialist(s) will also serve as the first point of contact for all IS related support requests. Provides problem determination and resolution with regard to Aviall's business applications. Works closely with IS groups to further troubleshoot and resolve or escalate support requests. The Support Specialist records, tracks, escalates, and updates calls through the help desk issue tracking system. In addition, the Support Specialist may be asked to provide assistance during project development and rollout or other tasks. This is a challenging position that includes training opportunities to enhance each employee's technical knowledge.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: HS Diploma or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience in network PC support, hardware, technical support, PC application support, and printer support.
SKILLS: Excellent Customer Service Skills. Excellent Communication Skills. Working knowledge of Windows 9x/2000/XP/NT and Novell. Working knowledge of Internet Explorer and Netscape.Ability to multi-task. Works well in a team environment.
CERTIFICATIONS: Formal Training in 2 or more of the following: Windows 9x/2000/XP, MS Office, Lotus Notes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: A.S. or B.S. in Computer Science or Related Field of Study.
EXPERIENCE: 1 Year computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills. 1 Year providing customer service support in a networked environment. 1 Year providing ERP system customer service support.
SKILLS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 1 Year providing support on standard software applications such as MS Office. 1 Year providing Internet technologies support.
CERTIFICATIONS: MCP/MCSE/MCDST Certification Preferred.
