Description



This role provides support to all end users on computer related issues. Responsibilities include: Identify, research and resolve technical problems in coordination with local and global IT team. Respond to telephone calls, emails and user requests for technical support. Track and monitor user problems to insure a timely resolution. Maintain computer validation documents in collaboration with QA department.Support all users regarding desktop, laptop, peripherals and server related problems Provide first level support and training for users Proactively recognize potential errors or problems and establish the necessary steps for correction to avoid spreading. Must be available as needed after hours to support and troubleshoot urgent issues.  Lonza is a 24x7 operation facility. Other departmental related duties as assigned. Required SkillsMust have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a self-starter. Interaction with users and team members requires enthusiasm and team skills as well as flexibility and a keen interest in new and improved technologies. Experience in working with external customers and/or internal users is essential.Required Experience



A Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or MIS is required. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) is preferred.

2-4 years of help desk support, knowledge of Microsoft Networks and Microsoft Office is required. Troubleshooting experience with Intel based PC's, HP printers and TCP/IP also required.~cb~
