IT Asset Manager - Infrastructure Immediate

Essential Functions:

 Manage the software and hardware assets from the point that they are procured through it’s end of lifeMonitors and records software and/or hardware assets (owned or leased) to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. Develops and enforces procedures to maintain current and new inventory through day to day business processes.Develops and implements procedures to ensure quality control throughout the lifecycle of that asset.  Leads the process for validation of systematically captured inventory data to ensure accuracy and clarity of the data as well as compliance with negotiated license agreements Provide advance notification to the various teams to manage the process for license renewals and lease end notices.  Make recommendations for renewals based on the disposition of the assets involved.Work with procurement individuals to ensure the timely creation of Purchase Orders to meet renewal timelinesOversees the process for associating linkages between businesses, products, process, applications with their hardware and software. Identifying gaps in attributes associated with an asset, collection of that information and population in the asset repositoryProvides reporting for budgetary purposesResponds to adhoc reporting requests for asset inventory

 

 

This support includes shared services for Mainframe systems, AS400 systems, Midrange systems, Distributed Computing and regionally supported applications.

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

 

· 3-5 years of Asset Management experience

· 2 years experience developing Asset Management processes and procedures.

· 4 Year Degree

· 3-5 years of IT background
