IT Associate

National Gardening, is looking for a Web hacker-of-all-trades. As anIT Associate, you'll be supporting the mission and editorial work of anon-profit organization and its "garden magazine" Web presence.




As part of a four person IT Team, you will be working in a friendly,casual environment in a beautiful South Burlington location.

Successful candidate will possess: Positive attitude, eagerness tolearn, self-motivation and an ability to learn through shared tasks.Must be comfortable working from the command line.




Typical tasks are sending email newsletters, Web production work, web design work andcommerce data maintenance, but also includes coding, installing,designing and maintaining new systems and supporting existing systems. The environment is Apache, MySQL, PHP, Smarty templates, variousdistributions of GNU/Linux and high availability Linux clustering(Linux-HA), but work is moving towards integrating Drupal, LDAP,Kerberos, Subversion and Fedora.

Ability to provide workstation and small office network support and touse a ticket management or project management system also desired.
