This position reports to the Director of Solution Delivery, for Direct Sales and Sales Channel in a global organization that emphasizes client service and timely, high-quality project delivery. The position is part of the IT Channels team within the Information Technology Department. This role requires a qualified, career-oriented individual. He or she will work on problems of diverse scope requiring both business and technical expertise, specifically Partner/CRM and the Channels business. The candidate must demonstrate good judgment in applying HDS standards and best practices. Excellent communication skills are required, as well as being a highly motivated self-starter. Common to Business System Analyst roles is the review, analysis and documentation of business and functional requirements, process flows, and design specifications, the configuration of software products, the estimation of tasks, problem solving and generation of concise written documents, as well as user acceptance testing and training. The analyst will provide estimates and assist project scoping and feasibility analysis. Working closely with Project Managers and technical developers to aid with the delivery of solutions that will enhance HDS user's efficiencies, user experience and productivity is critical. The Business System Analyst is responsible for eliciting and translating business requirements into solutions, preparing functional specifications, testing, training, debugging and documenting software programs of varying complexity following the predefined standards and best practices. The Analyst will have effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and IT staff; the ability to work productively in a team and the ability to learn new applications quickly.Job Functions. Participate in process improvement activities and metrics ' 5% Primary Qualifications (include skills, years of experience, education, knowledge, etc.):University degree, 5+ years of relevant industry experience in an applications design and programming environment, proven delivery of products/applications in a diverse mix of business areas, self-starter. Familiarity with Business Objects a plus.
