Must have experience in application support of hospital business office applications – billing, A/R, collections and follow up, bad debt. Responsible for clinical and/or financial systems/application analysis, design, development, support and maintenance, keeping all assigned applications in optimal performance state at all times. Functions as liaison between documentation and literature. Determine alternate approaches to clinical and/or financial issues/workflows and select optimal solutions to these issues/workflows. Work on complex clinical and/or financial problems analyzing and evaluating current business methods and procedures for improvement. Is able to translate system requirements into system deliverables *Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or High School Diploma with 7 yrs experience required, Master’s degree in IT or related field preferred. 4 yrs experience required. Cerner experience preferred. SQL/CCL or other programming experience preferred. Ability to program in COBOL, SQL or any related program languages used by BMC. Ability to create and use DCL.
