IT Marketing Specialist

MODIS is looking for an IT Marketing Specialist with 5+ years of experience in CRM marketing / email marketing/ database marketing.  The ideal candidate will develop, integrate, maintain and support the email marketing technology used throughout our client to optimize customer interactions across several business units.  The position requires the individual to work closely with the Marketing business users, Database, Network, QA, Architecture and Project Management teams to develop and implement new functionality. This will allow those teams to meet project deliverables and become involved in all phases of a project including: planning, reviewing specifications, documentation, scheduling, development, testing and ongoing support.  Responsibilities of the Position  Lead development and implementation of tools and technologies to support effective campaign segmentation and analytics, data mining, modeling and profiling to turn points of data into information and metrics Participate in Implementation of a comprehensive, customer-centric data warehousing/data mart environment to support marketing initiatives Work with the technology project teams to implement new functionality to support business needs. Participate in requirements definition. Assist with classifying the partner requests as small to large technical projects, scoping the work effort and providing time estimates. Implement technical data requirements for integrating partner data to be used for marketing campaigns. Develop, maintain and support the data exchange process and email service provider to support campaign management ensuring data quality and integrity.  Follow protocol for implementing new functionality. Assist in production escalation and problem resolution. Deliver technical documentation such as specifications, training manuals etc. Define process improvement ideas.Qualifications  5+ years experience in database marketing/campaign management/email marketing involving tools/providers such as epiphany, Unica, SAS, Responsys, e-dialog, Yesmail etc. At least 3-5 years of technical experience with databases and data warehousing tools (database design, SQL, ETL, reporting tools etc) Understanding of database performance implications and architecture best practices. Deeply familiar with email marketing concepts, practices and programs. Ability to handle large data sets, knowledge of data integration, validation and processing methodologies. Knowledge of enterprise application development, from underlying database design to developing multi-tier web applications. Strong attention to detail and quality; excellent problem solving and communication skills. Ability and willingness to learn new tools and applications.
