IT Specialist (Healthcare Industry)

The IT Specialist is responsible for first level support of end-user information technology needs within a hospital environment. Typical responsibilities include break-fix activities associated with PC’s, laptops, mobile clinical devices, and printers from both a hardware and software perspective. Break-fix activities may extend to clinical and financial application-specific issues. In addition to break-fix, proactive duties include working with installation and monitoring of information security mechanisms (anti-virus, SFTP, remote access, VPN tunnels, etc.). Additional opportunities exist to perform break-fix and enhancements for servers, storage environments, and wired / wireless networks.

Required Skills:

-  Experience providing first-level desktop and printer support (2 years)

-  Strong working knowledge of a Microsoft desktop environment

-  Working knowledge of Active Directory

Preferred Skills:

-  Microsoft Certifications

-  Experience in a healthcare environment

-  Bachelor’s Degree
