IT Support Engineer - Operations

DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities will include development, enhancements and maintenance of C#, .Net, JAVA internal applications, often including gathering requirements, meeting with end users, designing a prototype and presenting the design, developing the accepted design, thoroughly testing the enhancement and aiding in implementing the enhancement. Design, code, test, debug, and document newly written programs.
The ideal candidate will also have to perform the role of IT support on a frequent basisInstall and configure new hardware/software. Add/delete/create/modify user account information, reset passwords, etc. Answer technical queriesTroubleshooting any reported hardware/software related problems. Perform regular backups of dataKeep the network up and running all the timePerform server installs, maintenance and upgrades.Provide day-to-day technical support to employees, primarily for desktop systems, software and hardware and secondary network infrastructure support. Install, configure and troubleshoot desktop systems, workstations, servers, telecomm and network issues in a heterogeneous environmentMonitoring and checking of the networking infrastructure as well as related equipment
REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area is required. Master**s degree preferred.1 + years of full-time industry experience developing Object oriented applications using Java and .Net technologiesWorking experience with the following; JavaScript, .Net Framework, ASP.NET, Visual StudioExperience with JSP, XML, XSL/T, CSS, JDBC, Servlets is preferredExperience with relational database development using MS SQL server, stored procedures and competencies in data modeling and database designPrior Experience working with Tomcat Application server is preferred, but not requiredSDLC experience: gathering requirements, creating designs, implementing code, performing integration, writing documentation, testing applications, reviewing code, deployment, and maintenance/support. Knowledge of computer hardware and software. Proven support experience of MS Windows operating systems, Active Directory, MS Office, MS Exchange, VPN. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiencesMotivated individual with proven track record of on-time deliveryStrong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
