Position summary:The Implementation Project Coordinator will be responsible for Planning, Execution, Control and Closure of Business VoIP and Managed Services (Collocation and Managed Hosting) customer implementation projects. This is a new and important role for Speakeasy, and as such, responsibilities of this position will grow and change as necessary during its evolution. Responsibilities:• Managing customers through the Speakeasy Implementation processes, beginning in the Sales & Solution Design stages.
• Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments.
• Creating and maintaining customer communications, technical documents, project plans and scopes of work for each customer, when appropriate.
• Documenting installation steps and progress in Speakeasy’s OSS.
• Documenting additional aspects of project schedules via Visio, Microsoft Project, etc.
• Potentially traveling to customer locations.
• Completely owning and managing all aspects of the customer relationship throughout the hand-off and implementation process, including:
o Hand-off from Sales
o Proactive customer updates on milestones, delays, issues to resolve, etc.
o Timely responses to customer questions and concerns
o Hand-off to Support
• Ability to identify, track and manage to resolution risks and customer issues for each implementation.
• Coordinating and forming solid working relationships with other departments, vendors and partners, including Sales, Solution Engineering, Product/Marketing, Activations, Finance, etc.
Skills and experience required:• At least 12 months project management experience.
• At least 6 months Managed Services and or Data Center experience.
• Telecommunications or VoIP experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain strict professionalism in all client communication.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Direct hands-on experience supporting end-user customers in a Customer Operations position.
• Maturity, judgment, negotiation skills, influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills are essential and critical to successful management of projects at this level.
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners alike.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple vendors.
• Working knowledge of Data Centers, network topologies, firewalls, VPNs, bandwidth requirements, load balancing, switch management etc...
• CCNA or MCSE certification preferred
• Working knowledge of Voice over IP technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
