Information Analyst

This Position is for an Information Analyst supporting the Medicare
System area.  This position requires a motivated individual with healthcare claims processing background preferably in Medicare. Extensive experience in Medicare and workload transitions is very desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Work from business requirements to code technical solutions

• Act as the liaison between client and EDS support groups to identify and improve business processes, systems,and product requirements

• Support aspects of the business cycle including proposals, feasibility studies, implementations, and new business development

• Initiate and support Change Requests in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the MCS environment using the MCS release process

• Coordinate or attend appropriate conformance reviews with the customers, BAs, and IAs

• Document client specifications following MCS process guidelines

• Support and assist the Project Manager in all phases

• Provide on call support as required

• Initiate measures to eliminate non-value-added activities through process improvement

• Provide weekly individual status report to communicate successes, needs and activities to MCS project manager.

• Ability to work with external data centers

Skills recommended for this position include:

•  Proficient in COBOL

• Written and verbal communication at a Level appropriate for Customer and CMS interaction/visibility

• MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• TSO/ISPF; Mainframe applications

• SLC3/GSMS for production support or other systems life cycle
  knowledge/experience

• Knowledge of MCS Shared System or other Medicare claims processing systems helpful
