We have an excellent opportunity available for an Information Assurance Engineer with Xacta Corporation located in Springfield, VA.

The successful clandidate will have past experience in the area of Information Assurance (IA) and software engineering. This position is on site with an Project Management office, providing analysis, technical assessments and planning of technical assessments. This person will assist team members, Program Managers and Project Officers in the analysis and implementation of security solutions and in mitigating vulnerabilities and risks. The candidate will perform vulnerability and penetration testing on government systems.

Requirements: Candidate will have 3-5 years experience in information assurance. College degree is preferred BS in EE, CS or MIS desireable. Must have past experience in switch/router configuration, security design and architecture of test and production systems. Past experience in performing Retina and Gold disk scans, assessing IAVA compliance, assist with patch management and update necessary documentation. Prior experience and knowledge of STIG's and SSR scripts. The use of other information assurance test tools are a big plus. Must be able to offer assistance involving application security and be familiar with DoD or Army processes and procedures. Experience in performing security C&A's a plus. Proven ability to work with customers. An active Secret Clearance is required.

The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access classified information, which requires a US citizenship.
