Job Category:Scientist Leader Primary Location:USA-CA: CALIFORNIA-CHINA LAKESchedule:Full-time Job Type:Regular Employee Status:RegularJob Posting: 03/25/2008Description: Job SummaryAnalyzes and evaluates large, significant, and highly complex Information Fusion Center (IFC) project requirements.Essential Functions:1 Develops the technical solution that meets the requirements of the IFC project. Designs large, significant, and highly complex Information Fusion (IF) systems. Assesses existing systems and recommends technical improvements (e.g., performance upgrades).2 Recommends, establishes business case, and assists project manager and others in building acceptance of new proposed program modifications, methods, and procedures.3 Defines system objectives and design specifications in collaboration with business analyst and/or project manager.4 Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation to enhance system efficiency.5 Defines controls, conversion procedures and system implementation plans.6 Serves as a technical subject matter expert and leads technical collaboration outside of project team, for example, company lines of service, client IT, vendors, subcontractors. Represents company in new technology planning and takes lead in assessing emerging technologies.7 Develops the technical solution that meets the requirements of the IFC. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, physics, biology, or related field preferred Seven or more years of experience in application and/or engineering technology development Experience working with application development and engineering principles and practices Experience working with Information Fusion systems such as Story MakerExperience working with the technology industry Experience working with mathematical, physical, chemical or biological principles Other Qualifications Analytical and problem solving skills Organizational skills to balance and prioritize work Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members Ability to work independently and as part of a team Remote Work Location Authorized:No Relocation Assistance:Not AvailableClearance Level:Secret Create Success
