Performs a risk analysis that also includes risk assessment. Supports, assists with coordination, and implementation the organization's information security. A working knowledge of several of the following areas is required: understanding of business security practices and procedures; knowledge of current security tools available; hardware/software security implementation; different communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools; familiarity with commercial products, and current Internet/EC technology. Desired: Minimum 1 year NSA experience and CISSP.TS/SCI w/Full Scope Poly Required Hanover, MDEssential Job Functions Provides technical service in support for the development and documentation required of the approval process for the accreditation of information systems processing classified or national security information. Assists to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable policy and procedures. Participates in investigating and resolving matters of significance related to security policy and procedures to ensure compliance with government and/or industry standards and customer specific requirements. Monitors, evaluates, and maintains security systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems and databases. Assists in performing inspections based on system security requirements to ensure security systems are in compliance with established standards. Reviews computer logs and messages to identify possible security violations and breaches; assists with the preparation of reports to report intrusions. Assists in the monitoring of firewalls across assigned area. May assist in implementing firewalls and other network security devices. Performs complex analysis and investigates and resolves system problem trends and issues. Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. TS/SCI w/Full Scope Poly Required Basic Qualifications High school diploma Completion of a 2 year technical training program in computer field or equivalent Five or more years of technical information systems security experience Experience working with information and network security practices Experience working with security software and hardware Experience working with operating systems Experience working with computer desktop packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Experience working with computer programming and operations Experience working with security architecture Other Qualifications Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members Communication skills to interact with team members and support personnel Analytical and problem solving skills for investigating security issues Ability to work with relational databases Ability to work in a team environment Remote Work Location Authorized:No Relocation Assistance:Not AvailableClearance Level:TS/SCI w/ FS Polygraph Create Success
