Information Systems Coordinator

 

Job Description:
Functions as the Materials Management resource for all aspects of the Meditech materials management information system and it’s interfaces. Acts as the intermediary between Caritas users and Meditech to identify and resolve concerns. Works with customers, vendors, Caritas IS, Meditech and others to identify problems, causes and solutions. Acts as a catalyst in bringing together those necessary to resolve issues.  Acts as trainer/instructor for Caritas sites to enable them to fully utilize the system including but not limited to, on-line requisitioning, electronic invoicing, automated inventory depletion.  Generates reports as requested. Creates spreadsheets and analyzes the information as it relates to the system.  Oversees changes to the shared databases ensuring changes are made in accordance with established policies and procedures.  Maintains the security of data by controlling user access in conjunction with policy and procedure.  Supervises the data analyst who are responsible for changes to the shared dictionary.  Creates required reports to support the central purchasing department.  Acts as the statistical resource for gathering information to support business decisions.


Qualifications:
2 –3 years experience with Meditech Materials Management.  Must posses strong interpersonal and collaborative skills and be able to successfully transfer knowledge to others. Requires analytical and statistical skills, orientation to detail, problem-solving abilities.  Leadership skills, good judgment and high business ethical standards in carrying out responsibilities. 2-5 years of work experience in a multi-hospital, professional Purchasing department is preferred.
