Information Systems Technician

Information Systems Technician  Job Code:  HTSC04081052  Job Description: Responsible for providing second-tier support to end users for either PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware, and associated with the US Army Corporate Dental Application (CDA), a web-based initiative for patient scheduling, provider (doctor) workload and readiness data with a client/server front end for the collection of this data. Support the CDA system to include a dental enterprise wide digital radiography (DR) program that will include a central storage of all DR images that is accessible worldwide and the establishment of a Continuity of Operations (COOP) site (backup location) at a geographically separate location. Handle problems that the first-tier of help desk support is unable to resolve. Interact with the network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems. Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties. Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems. Job location is US Army Dental Clinic, Fort Campbell, KY with up to 15% travel to other locations worldwide in conjunction with system installation assignments.  Qualifications: Successful candidates should have an Associates degree in a technical field and 2 years experience relevant information security experience (6 years experience with a high school diploma) or commensurate education and experience.  Experience: Previous help desk and customer service experience. Successful candidates must have CompTIA Security+ certification (or obtain certification within first 30 days of employment).
