Minimum Requirements: 4 years of experience as an IT Analyst, Programmer, or Systems Administrator, managing IT programs, building IT teams, and supervising emjployees in a technical environment, 7 years of experience preferred.  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics,or a related field with applicable experience as a Systems Architect.  Certification as a CCIE preferred. 



Position Duties: Plans and designs the technology architecture to promote greater efficiencies through increased economies of scale.  Architects the technology infrastructure, hardware and software.  Provides key systems analysis, design, development, support and maintenance of all the City’s applications; provides a total systems perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies, and requirements; provides technical support and guidance for systems integration, configuration and analysis; provides technical recommendations for optimized data access and retention for all data sources and holdings; and provides oversight to data architecture team support across customer programs.  Participates in setting the technological direction of the City’s infrastructure and systems.  Advises the IT management team on technology options and issues.
