Duplium Corporation is a leading provider of CD and DVD replication solutions. We are undergoing continuous expansion of our operation to support growth in our manufacturing site in Carrollton, TX. Duplium has been providing software solutions to global customers for over 10 years and offers a wide range of Production and Fulfillment services.
Duplium is currently looking for an Information Technology (IT) Support Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible in providing Technical and Software services/support to 100+ PC network users.
Responsibilities include:
Helpdesk/Desktop support which includes but not limited to:
(1) PC, laptop and printer installation, configuration and troubleshooting/repairs
(2) Fax and copiers support
(3) Asset Management for hardware Inventory, purchases, software licensing
(4) Telephone system support (installation, management, and configuration)
(5) Business application support (client software installation, management, and configuration)
(6) Microsoft Office products support (installation, setup and troubleshooting)
· Network administration and systems management which includes but not limited to:
(1) Daily Backup management and other day-to-day server management task
(2) LAN/WAN & Windows server administration, maintenance and documentation
(3) Network and Firewall security system setups, updates and monitoring
(4) Active Directory management, provisioning and updates
(5) FTP Server account creation and provisioning
(6) Email server account creation and provisioning
· Identify, troubleshoot, research, support and resolve software and hardware issues
· Sourcing and purchasing of Desktop and Server hardware
· Assist the IT Manager to identify and advise on business and technology trends that create opportunities for business improvements
Qualifications:
· Experienced IT professional with approximately 3+ years of related experience applicable to the above responsibilities
· Flexible to start working either at 7:00am or 8:30am shift
· Flexible to work after office hours or weekends when required
· Able to perform in a fast-paced and stressful situations
· Able to perform with minimum supervision on day-to-day tasks and general instructions on new assignments
· Outstanding performance in customer/client services (desk side visit) and capable to handle complex technical concepts effectively
· An excellent team player with professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrated ability to deliver required results
Technical Skills:
Desktop O/S: MS Windows (9x/NT/2000/XP/Vista), MS-DOS, and MAC OS
Server O/S: MS Windows Server (NT/2000/2003)
Hardware: Desktop PC/Laptop core hardware (HDD, RAM, motherboard, cards, device controllers, CMOS, BIOS), internal/external peripherals (mass storage, LCD/CRT monitor, deskjet/laser/label printers, scanner, keyboard, mouse, modem, barcode/magnetic readers), portable projectors setup for business presentations and multimedia devices, and RIM Blackberry (installation, configuration and troubleshooting)
Server-based application: Windows NT/2000/2003 Server, Active Directory, MS-SQL Server T-SQL scripting, and Backup software [Veritas Exec 7/8, ARCserve (work knowledge)], and DNS/hosts and WINS server administration
Software: Microsoft Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, FrontPage), Adobe readers, Visio, Corel Draw, McAfee Anti-Virus, Internet Explorer (HTML), and PC Remote Control (Dameware NT Utilities, Windows Netmeeting, PC Anywhere, PC Duo, VNC)
Networking: Ethernet LAN/WAN Administration [TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, Gateway, VPN, DHCP,
WINS, Dial-up, Firewall], Cisco (1700) router, Managed network switches configuration through HyperTerminal and telnet console or HTTP client, network Cat5/6 cabling, fiber optic cables, plus experience in Ethernet (802.3) and Wireless (802.11)
Requirements:
· B.S. Computer Science graduate (or equivalent diploma/certification)
· CompTIA A+ or MCSE Certified
· Working knowledge of upcoming IT trends such as Server virtualization
· Working knowledge of any ERP, CRM and SCM software
