Installation Engineer--Los Angeles

EthoStream, a Telkonet Company, is seeking Installation Engineers to join our Field Engineering Team.  EthoStream’s product suite provides a comprehensive and advanced technology management platform for the hospitality industry, differentiated by outstanding remote management tools and a dedicated customer support facility.  Our Installation Engineers install cabling and wireless equipment, execute network testing of both wireless and wired infrastructure, and perform site surveys of new locations.  Applicants will be trained in wired and wireless network infrastructures and EthoStream proprietary technologies.

Responsibilities

· Perform cable installation.

· Review and test network connectivity.

· Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

· Assess property layout and infrastructure and document accordingly.

Education and Experience Required

· 3-5 years experience, at least one year of experience with computer networking, knowledge of structured cabling or related cable technician experience; good understanding of computer networking.

· High school diploma/GED equivalent required.

· 2-year degree in computer science/networking, etc., preferable but not required.

· Network certifications preferable but not required.

· Ability to communicate well, work independently

· This position requires 100% travel to client sites, with a fairly significant percentage of the travel by air.

· Candidates must have access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
