Instructional Designer - SharePoint

General Function:Instructional Designer - Designs/develops training materials to educate users on the correct way to operate applications to support business processes. Instructor - Delivers instructor-led training. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in order to explain complex ideas and tasks Advisor - Advises Informatics projects on training requirements, standards and processes. Training Lead - Manages training design, development and delivery. Training Administrator - Schedules and plans training sessions. Implements training administration processes, including records management.

Instructional Designer to participate in the development of several key training deliverables for the Enterprise-wide SharePoint implementation. Materials include ILT lecture and lab materials, supplements, and communications. The Training Developer will be responsible for developing training materials to meet the needs of 4 audience groups. Some delivery may be included for this role, and some travel within the US may be required. Assists in the design and development of technical training programs and curriculums, both ILT and web-based. Works with engineering, technical support, and/or applicable area to ensure that material is accurate and reflects current product features. Maintains documentation for appropriate training room set up and configuration.Works with senior level personnel and business units/technical areas to conduct needs assessments to ensure training needs are met. Develops training materials per best practices and methodologies in place Maintains project schedule for training materials developed by the team.

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Four or more years of technical training experience. Advanced knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office 2003/2007 suite, SharePoint 2007, Visio 2003/2007, Project 2003/2007. Candidates should be skilled in the implementation of adult learning principals in analyzing, designing and evaluating instructor-led, group paced, blended learning design and delivery. Have at least 2 years experience in designing and administering learning programs in a business setting. 4 or more years experience in computer application instruction with strong software knowledge and trouble shooting skills. Experience working with company software, systems, applications and network products Experience working with communications practices, principles and procedures for both on-site and on-line presentations
