Internal Communications Specialist

  Job Duties/Responsibilities:  Effective internal communications is critical to maintaining an engaged workforce, a vital component of CNSI’s continued success. CNSI is looking to fill the newly created position of Director of Internal Communications.Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources this individual will be directly responsible for the execution of CNSI’s internal communication strategy. · Develop an  d execute internal communication plans and objectives with defined deliverables and timelines· Develop “best practices” standards for internal communication effectiveness and provide metrics to report on the effectiveness and impact of internal communications activities· Develop and implement a strategic internal communications plan to inform, educate, motivate and engage employees in corporate initiatives, strategies and objectives.· Drive high quality internal communications that support the priorities of the company and build the company’s brand internally.· Provide advice and tactical assistance on internal communications plans, tools and vehicles. Offer advice on how and when to communicate particular messages· Develop and maintain channels of communication and distribution lists· Lead intranet content team to ensure timely delivery of meaningful information· Develop and manage content update schedule for the CNSI employee website· Coordinate with the technology staff and marketing department on the design, functionality and implementation of communications vehicles and formats· Develop employee feedback mechanisms and communicate feedback to senior level management team · Manage development and implementation of communications deliverables including newsletters, internal memos, voice mails and partner talking points. · Work with HR staff in identifying, generating, and contributing area related stories that can be featured in a range of internal publications· Assist in developing internal senior leadership messaging via speeches, presentations, and e-mail· Writing speeches, presentations and articles· Work with CAO and VP of HR on developing company’s philanthropic activities· Provide a training platform for employees on effective communication skills   Other related duties as assigned               Skills Required  Ten years of progressively responsible communications experience, including project management and people management experience within a matrixed or large corporate environment Bachelors degree (Master’s preferred) from an accredited college or university in communications, marketing or related field Outstanding oral/written communication, listening, and interpersonal skills Ability to support a broad range of constituencies
