J2EE Systems Engineer/Administrator

The SAIC Homeland Security Solutions Division currently has an opening for a J2EE Systems Engineer/Administrator. JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide senior level application deployment and support functions for an enterprise J2EE server farm. This includes setting development standards and performing code reviews to ensure compliance with standards and coordinating activities with enterprise architects. Perform application server configuration and subsequent deployment of enterprise applications. Also responsible for the development of performance monitoring and tracking application for SLA reporting using Java technologies (Spring Core, Spring MVC, Hibernate, etc). REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline and 10+ years of operating systems experience. 16 years of experience to include 10+ years of operating systems experience will be considered in lieu of 4 year college degree. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Expertise developing J2EE applications and operating enterprise applications within a Java environment. Must have strong written and oral communication skills. U.S. citizenship is required and the ability to obtain a U.S. Trust Suitability. DESIRE SKILLS: Exposure to a variety of J2EE MVC, persistence,and application frameworks; experience working with Caucho Resin; experience working with IBM WebSphere Application Server; experience working with Oracle 10g Application Server; Knowledge of the IBM WebSphere MQ platform; Experience performing basic Windows 2000/2003 Server administration;experience performing basic Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration; Understanding of the principles SOA development, implementation, and operation; knowledge of the Microsoft .Net architecture.
