For immediate consideration please send updated resume to shital.shah@modisit.com DIRECT HIRE ONLY.  NO CTC.  NO SPONSERSHIPThe following insight is from the hiring manager - This position is focused on the Calypso system which is a back office system for Fixed Income products. - This role is in the development group and will involve analyzing requirements, designing solutions, and both participating in the development and leading other members of the development group in their own development - Calypso experience is a very very strong plus - see below for specifics Responsibilities include: - Implement tools and reports to support global control efforts. - Carry out Fixed Income data analysis in response to Audit and Risk requests - Implement new functionality, enhancements and bug fixes on the Calypso platform - Provide timely resolution of highly technical user issues working directly with Operations - Lead, design and implement modules migration related to Calypso upgrade - Provide tools and analysis to the infrastructure team to support Operations group - Help mentor and train junior developers TECHNICAL SKILLS Required/Must have: - JAVA (design patterns, excellent coding standards required) - SYBASE (SQL, basic administration skills, troubleshooting) - UNIX Shell/PERL scripting - Basic Web development skills (HTML, JavaScript etc) Desired/Plus: - Calypso platform: knowledge of API, architecture, maintenance, support - knowledge of application servers (IBM Websphere, BEA Weblogic ...) CVS, TIBCO, MQ, Eclipse, C++, .Net BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE Required/Must have: - Fixed Income (Bonds mathematics, Repo, MBS etc) - Excel/VBA skills Desired/Plus: - Derivatives knowledge and experience COMPETENCIES Required/Must have: - Be self motivated, dynamic and result oriented - Must be a great team player - Very good communication skills (oral and written) - Ability and willingness to understand and learn a complex system in a short time - Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments and projects. PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE Required/Must have: - Full life cycle experience in financial software development (requirements gathering, design, implementation and release) - JAVA development experience 3-5 years - J2EE experience - application servers Desired/Plus: - Development on Calypso system EDUCATION Required/Must have: - Minimum of BS in Computer Science and/or related Engineering field   Company: Modis, Inc.
