JAVA - IT Application Analyst-Lead or Senior EXCITING JAVA SUPPORT OPPORTUNITY!  The incumbent will work with the Health and Specialty Benefits Divisions and will have the opportunity to influence Java development as it continues to grow.  Daily responsibilities include Java language and development workbench support, troubleshooting production and pilot issues, providing technical guidance and direction to IT development staff, and providing informal training sessions.  Upcoming opportunities in SOA, Build Server and UCM.  Under general direction, additional responsibilities include designing complex business solutions to meet business initiatives.  May provide leadership throughout all phases of application systems development. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in a computer related field required and display proven experience as an IT professional; or an associate's degree or equivalent experience.  Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products is preferred.  Previous work experience with Java is required.  Previous experience working with WebSphere, Hibernate, Spring, SOA and Web Services is a plus.  Must have excellent planning/organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, as well as basic presentation and decision-making skills.  Basic leadership skills required; excellent time management skills preferred.  Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.  Basic knowledge of business unit applications preferred.
