Position Description for Jason’s Deli Distribution IT Support Technician

 

Position Summary:  Jason’s Deli Distribution (JDD) IT Support Technician for Jason’s Deli serves both corporate and franchise delis as well as our distribution facilities.  This position will be based in the Arlington/Grand Prairie, TX area.

Reporting Relationships:  JDD IT Support Technician will report to the JDD Technology Director. The individual will work in close cooperation with the all levels of management throughout Jason’s Deli.



 

Compensation:  A competitive salary is supplemented by a comprehensive, well-rounded benefits program. The salary will be $30,000-$40,000 annually, depending on experience.

 

Essential Functions:

 Tier 1 and 2 Support: Addressing and resolving basic and escalated support issues for deli and JDD employees.Help Desk Liaison: Manage the relationship between the IS Department and the Help Desk for issues pertaining to deli product ordering via the V-Mobile software, identifying areas for improvement and monitoring support trends.Vendor Relations: Maintain strong relations and build proactive communication channels with our remote ordering and warehouse management software service provider (Advanced Food Technologies).Quality Assurance: Manage the set up and operation of test environments used in the V-Mobile and Velocity development process.Operations Relations: Maintain strong relations with our deli managers and franchise community through open and frequent communication.Data Management/ Ad hoc Analysis: Provide support to deli operations through timely reporting.

Qualifications 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

 Excellent verbal and written communication skillsShould have the desire and flexibility to assume the roles of individual contributor, team player, and leader simultaneously as the organization evolvesStrong analytical skillsAdvanced computer skills (Open Office, MS Office, Firefox, IE, pcAnywhere, Citrix, etc.)Solid understanding of networking basics, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and Wireless TechnologiesCustomer service attitudeAbility to travel occasionally

 

Education/Work Experience: 

 College degree preferred2 or more years in an Information Technology, technical support positionMCSA certification a plus
