Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced SOA/J2EE developer to work on a projects for our client in Rockville. Client is currently implementing an SOA enterprise service initiative and this person will be instrumental in solution design, development, and deployment.

The ideal candidate needs to be highly motivated, versatile, experienced with SOA implementations, have strong knowledge of SOA related technologies, and has a passion for determining optimal solutions given project/environment scenarios. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, be proactive, and able to work with little supervision.

Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with team members in brainstorming and design sessions to devise a myriad of feasible technology solutions.Design, develop, and deploy comprehensive J2EE solutions using best practices for enterprise integration and services oriented architecture patterns.Develop and demonstrate technical components to test technological hypotheses or to verify the feasibility of project design approaches.Participate in peer code reviews, code management, testing, and other well-defined development procedures.Contribute and produce technical documentation as assigned for the overall project artifact library.Confirm to Company standards for code development, maintenance, and management.



Required Technical Skills:
2+ yrs - Hands-on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) development2+ yrs - Hands-on Web Services Description Language (WSDL) design2+ yrs - Hands-on Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) design and development1+ yrs - Hands-on Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) application integration4+ yrs - Hands-on Java  development in UNIX environment4+ yrs - Hands-on J2EE development and deployment4+ yrs - Hands-on Messaging integration deployment4+ yrs - Hands-on XML schema definition, XML translation/transformation4+ yrs – Hands-on Build script design (Ant, Maven, etc.)4+ yrs – Hands-on J2EE Application server deployment experience4+ yrs – Hands-on Java Unit Testing  (JUnit, Cactus, etc.)

In addition to technical skills below, interested in candidates who have successfully maintain production commercial applications, are able to work in a fast pace environment, must be able to work independently and have excellent problem solving and communication skills.
Java Software Engineer will work together with other team members in an iterative development environment to engineer new features for the Market Event Auditing application using a range of J2EE and related technologies (Hibernate/JMS/Spring). The individual will be enthusiastic about every opportunity to improve the existing application and will use good judgment and unit testing to minimize risks associated with changes under the tight development schedule.

Senior Java Web Developer will play a key role in architecture, developing, testing and maintaining new and existing web tier components for the Market Event Auditing application. Working with the Business Analysts and the QC team, this individual will utilize technical expertise and excellent problem solving and communication skills to develop the best UI solutions to address business problems.
