Position Description
We are looking for a highly effective Java Technical Consultant to join our team. This person will be required to offer solutions to problems of diverse scope and exercise judgment within defined practices and policies. This key member of our team contributes to the entire software development lifecycle including analysis, requirement specification, use case and data modeling, development, testing, and implementation. This is a 50% +/- travel position.

Profitable since inception, Acquity Group is a team-oriented firm comprised of intelligent, experienced consultants who enjoy working for a company that rewards individual achievement and promotes professional growth from within.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides advanced-level development skills to client engagementsProvides strong testing, debugging, and documentation skillsDemonstrates proficiency with at least one development tool / technologyIndependently manages individual time and tasksQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldOne to four years in systems integration and development, package implementation, and/or interactive designKnowledge of multiple technology platforms/languages: J2EE /JEE, EJB, JSP, Websphere, Weblogic, HTML, DHTML, XML, SOAP, JavaScript, MVC patterns, JavaScript, Java, PL/SQL, C/C++, RDBMS, CORBA, .NET, COM / DCOMAbility to define, create, and complete a technical task without a great deal of guidanceExperience in Full lifecycle software development processes and methodsAbility to thoroughly unit test all work and deliver an error-free technology component to the teamAbility to articulate a vision of the total solution
Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor’s (Master’s a plus) degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field

Travel
50% more or less depending on project; candidate should be comfortable with travel and overtime as client commitment requires.
