Job description: Skills: CA- ESP, Control-M, CA-7, CA-11 Mainframe and Distributed Job Scheduling, Unix, Perl, Windows knowledge Roles and Responsibilities: The Job Scheduler Engineer will design, enterprise batch scheduling solutions and provide scheduling tool software administration. The scheduling engineer will have a solid background of job ESP scheduling conversions and migrating or reengineering schedules from one scheduling system to another.Technology exposure will focus on ESP, CA-7, and Control-M Schedule design and build, scripting and trouble-shooting of enterprise jobs. Technology exposure to middleware event tools to include all tools across multiple platforms and interfacing with technologies including Mainframe, Tandem, AIX, Unix, Solaris, Linux and Microsoft servers. Additional duties to include reporting, schedule monitoring, problem resolution, and interfacing with applications development. This Associate supports batch and file transmissions in a fast-pace operations environment. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for the timely monitoring, support and processing of all production batch and file transmissions and participate in the change management process while ensuring timely delivery of production data to meet service level agreements. Manage production batch processing by setting appropriate priorities of critical job paths that run through the scheduler, monitors the implementation of new jobs or systems and assists with Production Control tests. Manage, monitor and generate monthly extracts to ensure service level indicators are met. Create, revise, and update procedures for inclusion into the document library. Successful candidates will have a solid technical understanding of batch and file processing and concepts, a strong work ethic, motivation to grow and succeed, and be prepared to get the job done. · Experienced in CA-ESP conversions· Provides training to all levels of the organization · Proactively monitors daily production batch and file transmissions for potential failures and delays.· re-runs batch and file transmissions (when necessary).· The ability to work defined shift-hours and provide rotational on-call support for non-shift hours (weekends and evenings).· Monitor performance of system and production jobs while adhering to information technologies policies, procedures and standards.
