Jr. HTML Developer - Newsdesk Specialist

Shareholder.com, a NASDAQ Company, is looking for individuals interested in joining our NewsDesk team as it grows in both numbers and opportunities.  This is a fast-paced team oriented position supporting our clients’ press releases and website postings.  HTML experience required.

 

The department as a whole contains six sub-departments such as press release distribution, webcasting, and interactive phone systems.  This opens the opportunity to cross train, work within multiple departments and/or focus on a discipline. 

 

Responsibilities

 

· Work with internal tools to enter, schedule,  convert and broadcast client’s press release information .

· Prepare press release documents for publication and broadcast by converting the original documents (DOC, XLS) into HTML, PDF, EMAIL and TEXT formats.

· Test and QC the content prior to publication and broadcast and review with the client.

· Schedule the release in our system and verify its proper distribution.

 

Requirements

 

· Command of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

· Knowledge of HTML, PDF generation and graphic design software.

o  Basic HTML knowledge will be tested during the interview process. Paragraphs, lists, basic tables, image placement, font formatting, special symbols and adding links.

o  Basic image manipulation such as screen capture, crop and resize.

· Ability to work in a high pressure environment with tight critical deliverables.

· Ability to work on the phone and via email with our clients.

· B.S./B.A. degree.
