Junior Implementation Specialist

Job Description:

Adapt specializes in the implementation of the Interaction Intelligence software; a software based phone system application.  As a Junior Implementation Specialist you will be responsible for the set-up, configuration, and installation of hardware and software for our computer telephony, contact center, and unified messaging solutions.  The ability to prioritize along with excellent PC, LAN, WAN, and troubleshooting skills are a must.  Previous telephony experience is not a requirement as we are looking for an entry level applicant, however, MCSE 2003 and/or Cisco certifications are desired.  This position requires travel 40-60% of the time, and includes travel on weekends. 

 

Qualifications Required:

·  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent in relevant work experience

·  Working knowledge of the Windows 2000, 2003 Server operating systems and related technologies including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, and SQL Server

·  Basic knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switches (need the ability to modify configurations, upgrade IOS, and basic troubleshooting skills)

·  Knowledge of TCP/IP-based networking technologies and concepts including, network topologies, subnets, QoS, VLAN’s, etc

·  Ability to solve problems through creative thinking and determination

·  Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others

·  Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision;  strong work ethic

·  Professional presentation and communication skills

 

Qualifications desired:



·  Familiarity with voice over IP including the SIP protocol



·  Familiarity installing, supporting, and troubleshooting switches, routers, gateways and firewalls that support VoIP applications (Cisco, 3Com, HP, Dell, SonicWall, etc).

·  Experience in WAN Transport using ATM, Frame Relay, MPLS

·  Experience with the setup and configuration of LAN Switching, QoS and VLAN’s

·  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, and Active Directory
